New consolidated company become the larges bank in US and the first coast-to-coast US bank chain. Since then, there were a lot of significant changes in Bank of America including its acquiring of Merrill Lynch & Co. on September 14, 2008, at the height of the 2008 Financial Crisis. The bank itself become a global financial services company, today it serves one out of every two households in the U.S. and the majority of Fortune 500 companies. Updated Bank of America logo starts with a sophisticated all-caps style to emphasize modern cutting-edge technology and high-touch solutions delivered by bank to its clients. The official Bank of America press release tells: “The Flagscape’s stripes are set further apart and the shape is more evenly geometric to make the image of the flag clearer, reinforcing associations with our global scale, capabilities and leadership.”
